Mr Dan Tana

About:
Dan Tana is a born and bred local from Whangarei. In 1964 he began scaffolding, served an apprenticeship in rigging and followed all types of construction throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. He then flew across the ditch to Tasmania Australia in 1970, where he performed rigging and scaffold duties in a nickel mine in Roseberry Tasmania for a short time. Dan returned to New Zealand and continued working on construction sites around New Zealand.

Qualification:
In 2000, Dan travelled back to Australia, this time to Kalgoorlie where he started as a rigger / scaffolder with JR Engineering, later acquired by Downer Engineering.  Dan's skills and expertise allowed him to move into a managing position in the scaffolding division for the company, spending a majority of his time servicing mine sites in the Goldfields and further north into Port Headland and beyond.
