What is the ratio of being in and outside the classroom?
Depending on the course, trainees will spend at least 50% of their time in a classroom, while the remainder of the course will be conducted either on the scaffolding tower for working at heights course, our customised entry and exit container for the confined spaces or the practical assessment for our forklift course.
Is there room to safely park my vehicle at your premises?
Absolutely. Once you enter the Tana Training yard there’s plenty of onsite parking space available along the wooden fence.
Please bring a pen, note book and highlighter. For practical assessments and training please ensure appropriate steel capped boots and hi-vis are worn when using machinery, vehicles, plant and/or equipment.
We will supply course materials and the equipment needed for practical assessments and if needed hi vis vests (which will be collected at the end of each day). Tea and coffee will be provided.
How are the courses assessed?
All courses are internally assessed and include theory based assessments and practical components. There are no exams.
What about pre-existing medical conditions?
Please inform Tana Training if there are any special requirements you may have that we may be able to assist you with. Tana Training endeavours to be inclusive and supportive in its training and assessment services.
Can I enrol if I am an international student?
No, under NQZA we only applied and have permission to train domestic students only.
Are my tuition fees safe?
We use Public Trust's Fee Protection service to provide an independent trust account for the protections of your student fees. In the unlikely event Tana Training should fail to complete the course (due to insolvency, closure or course cancellation), Public Trust will refund the fee to the student or to Studylink (if a loan has been taken). If clients / participants are not able to attend alternative courses or training modules, all fees paid for that course or training module will be fully refunded.
The Confined Spaces, Working at Heights and Forklift training are all two days long, while the forklift refresher and Site Safety Awareness courses will only take a day to complete.
What time do your courses start?
Our courses start at 8am and finish around 3pm.
